Will You Join The Fight To Protect Equality On The Internet?

Despite the title of this post, I am not an advocate…I do not believe that this website is a platform for me to push my opinions. That being said, just as we predicted, the Federal Communications Commission has recently proposed rules that would allow the giant corporations and those with money to pay the internet service providers (ISPs) for faster broadband access to the web. As a small business owner, this totally undercuts your rights because these new rules will give rich and established corporations a competitive advantage over you.   Because, instead of both of you having equal access to the same customers, by paying extra they will now be able to reach them before you can.

As Jeremy Quittner discusses, the business community is not taking this proposed death of neutrality on the internet lightly.  Twitter, Reddit, Netflix, venture capitalist and other technology companies are pushing back…they are doing everything they can to preserve our rights, as business owners, to equality on the internet. So, the question remains...what are we going to do about it?
