Copyright & Trademarks 101

Never having done one intellectual property class in law school, I had to do a fair amount of research before drafting the Intellectual Property Cheat Sheet.  The challenge involved imparting key pieces of information without overwhelming the reader (who had more important things – like running a business – to worry about). This task was not easy but I think I accomplished what I set out to do. That being said, I am committed to constantly improving my work and that is why I am infatuated with Doug Wolf’s new piece about when entrepreneurs should use copyrights and trademarks.

He has laid out the information in such a comprehensive and simple manner I cannot help but be impressed.  As far as I am concerned, this piece is required reading for anyone seeking a trademark or copyright. Actually, I will go as far as to say the information here perfectly supplements what I l laid out in the cheat sheet so you should read both of them together.
